Scrub Hill 1869 is on the market

Another historic 19th century Victorian wedding venue is up for sale, and like Koendidda, hopefully not as a result of Victoria's strict COVID-19 lockdown.

Halfway between Daylesford and Ballarat, Scrub Hill 1869 is a restored bluestone country church with surrounding lawn and reception space.

Koendidda Country House is up for sale

Koendidda recently put up a post announcing that the historic estate is up for sale. It's not yet known whether the accommodation and weddings/events business will continue.

The post includes an article that briefly tells the fascinating story of how the property came to be. A Cornish immigrant came searching for gold in the 1850s, and off the back of a vision in his sleep, choose a particular tree to focus his dig. The area unearthed a nugget that funded the estate's build.

Mindaribba House announces its sale

The operators of Mindaribba House in the Hunter Valley will formally say goodbye to the property in June 2021, after ten years of hosting weddings.

Despite the difficult decision, an Instagram post suggests their other wedding venue, Wallalong House, will remain part of their endeavours.

Lilburndale in NSW opens for wedding bookings

New wedding venue options will be certainly well received as 2021 and 2022 shape up to be hotly contested for date availability.

Lilburndale, a working cattle farm in NSW's Hawkesbury Valley, has a historic homestead and reception space that's due for completion this November.

They announced today that they're now taking wedding bookings for next year.

2021 is the last year for weddings at Logan Brae Orchards

In an Instagram post we learnt that Logan Brae Orchards has made the tough decision to no longer accept weddings starting in 2022.

While it will be a shame to see the venue close, we're sure they'll be energised and focused on their beautiful accommodation The Machinery Shed.

2021 will go down as a monumental year for them and their lucky booked couples.
